Jordan M. Pastorek, M.D., is the founder of Pure Medicine, a primary care medical clinic in Frisco, Texas. Dr. Pastorek is board certified in Internal Medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) and treats adults for a number of chronic and acute medical conditions with an emphasis on prevention.
Dr. Pastorek graduated from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge in 1997 before attending LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans for medical school. He completed his Internal Medicine residency in Lafayette, Louisiana in 2007 after earning his Air Force Pilot rating through the Euro-Nato Joing Jet Pilot Training program (ENJJPT) at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas. Dr. Pastorek subsequently earned his Fight Surgeon rating at Brooks City-Base in San Antonio and has worked as a flight surgeon in the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserves for almost 2 decades, achieving the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
In his civilian life, Dr. Pastorek has over a decade of experience as a hospitalist and has worked in multiple hospitals across Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi, including caring for COVID patients in acute care hospitals / ICUs as well as in the office setting during the pandemic.
Since the pandemic, Dr. Pastorek has focused his attention on providing care to adults in the office setting at Pure Medicine. In addition to annual preventive visits/screenings, Dr. Pastorek treats patients with multiple chronic conditions including hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, heart disease, neurological disorders, gastrointestinal diseases, allergies, autoimmune conditions, cancers, and more. He treats his patients when they have acute illnesses, including upper respiratory tract infections, acute pain/injuries, acute gastrointestinal illnesses, and others, and he also specializes in medical weight loss, pre-operative medical clearance, and hormone replacement therapy.
